I'm Dr Ella Woods

I am a clinical psychologist, perimenopausal, mum of 2 and founder of Perimenopause Balance. I know how it feels to hit a wall and wonder… is this just life now?

I thought I should have been able to handle it. But when perimenopause hit, no amount of self-care or mindset work could touch the bone-deep exhaustion, the rage that came out of nowhere, or the sense that I’d lost myself. I was dismissed, gaslit, and told my labs were ‘normal’ - but nothing about me felt normal.

That’s when I found the missing links: mineral imbalance, neurotransmitter disruption, and a stressed-out nervous system. This wasn’t just hormones. This was my brain, my biochemistry, my body waving a white flag.
